As an Apple At Home Advisor, you’ll be supporting many of our popular products, from iPhones to iPads to MacBooks to desktop Macs. As our customers’ first point of contact, you’ll be the friendly voice of Apple, providing world class customer service, troubleshooting, and technical support. We’ll rely on you to listen to our customers and use your technical expertise, creativity, and passion to meet their needs — and remind them that behind our great products are amazing people.

What it takes to make the cut.

You’re a problem-solver and amazing with customers! You’re enamored by the way things operate, and have the ability to figure out how technology works when things go wrong.  You can multitask across systems and applications, analyze and resolve a variety of complex technical issues, and comfortably navigate a technical environment. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and manage your time. You’re not only here to help fix technical issues, but also provide an incredible customer experience. Because you’ll work independently from home, you’ll need the discipline and ability to work remotely from coworkers and management. If this sounds like you, you could be the next At Home Advisor.

Training typically lasts four to six weeks, and the content is delivered in a virtual environment by an instructor. The topics covered include Apple product lessons, advanced troubleshooting, customer support essentials, job-specific tools and processes, and much more. You will train and work at your home office.  Having some experience on the Mac OS or iOS is beneficial, but if you have experience working on and troubleshooting other operating systems such as Windows and you’re willing to commit to training on the Mac, you could be a good fit for this program. Apple will provide you with a business-use iMac and headset to be used for all work functions.

AppleCare Advisors are Apple corporate employees. Apple provides benefits for both part-time and full-time employees. What kinds of hours would I be expected to work?

You would be expected to work during normal AppleCare support hours. Shifts vary based on business needs. Additional hours may be required during holidays, peak business hours, training, and acclimation.

What are the home office requirements?

At home, you must have a quiet, distraction-free room with a door that can close to keep out ambient noise. You must have or be willing to get a desk, an ergonomic adjustable chair, and an Internet connection meeting minimum requirements.
