I really, really miss the show Roseanne.
They were such a real family.
Like the Cosby Show…only inverted.
So, what are these characters doing now?
According to IMDB, Roseanne Cherrie Barr hasn’t been overly busy since she did an episode of My Name is Earl in 2006. However she does have a video in production with Justin Timberlake starring as his mom in Wrath of Job.
Her on-screen husband, John Goodman, has been a bit more productive however.
Currently, he has no less than two movies (one is a voice-over) in production. He also has two in pre-production and one completed. No moss growing on this man. He has been super-busy including doing a voice in the acclaimed The Princess and the Frog.
I must have missed a few episodes of the Big Bang Theory
because I don’t remember seeing Laura Metcalf but apparently she’s done two episodes, 2007 and 2009 respectively. She was also the voice of Andy’s Mom in Toy Story 3.
I wouldn’t have recognized lil’ Mr. DJ Conner walking down the street. He’s looking less like one of the Munsters and more Wolverine-ish. Other than a few documentaries on Roseanne and some of those child stars documentaries, Michael Fishman is not really showing up much on the celebrity scene. His most recent credit was in 2001 in AI: Artificial Intelligence as “teen in van”.
If you would have asked me, I would have thought that Sara Gilbert hadn’t done anything between her now defunct show, Twins, and a few spots on Big Bang Theory. Apparently, I am wrong. She’s done roles on such major shows as ER, Private Practice, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Grey’s Anatomy, and Hawthorne.
On a personal note, the industry is buzzing because Sara came out of the closet as a lesbian just a few months ago.
No offense to Sarah Chalke (Scrubs), but Alicia Goranson will always be the real Becky Conner. I seem to always think of her as little Becky but do you know that she was born a little over a month before me?!? Lol. Anyway, I digress. Alicia has been on the Hollywood scene on/off since the end of Roseanne. This year she had a role in the movie (of which I’ve never heard) The Extra Man. She’s also done an episode of Sex and the City, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, and Fringe.
You must be living under a rock if you haven’t heard of the phenomenal success of our David, Johnny Galecki. I’ve been a so-so fan of Big Bang Theory since its debut but I didn’t know that it was such a run away hit until Gregory House of House, M.D. made a snide comment about its success.
And with great success comes….great paychecks as the world was abuzz with just how much the stars of Big Bang were able to command due to the show’s success.
I didn’t know that was Mark Healy (Glenn Quinn, deceased 2002) playing the character of Doyle on Angel. I guess I don’t find stupidity attractive because I much preferred him as Doyle, and boy did the Angel cast make his eyes pop in a most attractive way.
Natalie West was last seen in the movie The Poker House in 2008. Estelle Parsons (Beverly Harris) has a movie in post-production. Martin Mull (Leon) has a movie in post-production for 2010. Until then, you can catch him in back episodes of shows such as ‘Til Death and Two and a Half Men.
Did I miss anybody? Let me know and I’ll look ’em up for you?
The sure don’t make good, clean comedies like this anymore. It is a shame.
