Wednesday is grocery shopping day

Hurray for Wednesday!

It’s grocery shopping day.

I just loooove grocery shopping day.

It is the highlight of my week.

The hours spent printing, cutting, and organizing coupons.

The reviewing of deals on the mobile apps and reading the match-ups.

Walking to the store pulling my raggedy red cart because my car is down for the count.

The hour spent running around the store picking the best deals.

The walk home pulling the red cart whose wheel pops off in the middle of the street.

Oh, and let’s not forget the grocery bags strangling my arms because I bought too much stuff to fit in said cart.

The scanning and putting away of the groceries.

And, finally, to top it all off, Baby Girl coming home from school to lovingly tell me what I didn’t manage to bring home from the store.

And if you didn’t read all of that with a sarcastic voice running through your head, you don’t know me at all.

3:00 a.m.

Yeah, I was no where near getting my butt up at 3 this morning. I forgot to set the clock. But I still woke up…and promptly rolled my butt back over.

I actually need to annoying noise of the alarm clock and the 2 feet trek to the clock to wake my a$$ up.

6:40 a.m.

Baby girl wakes me up by throwing me her usual jaunty Bye Person on her way out the door. Its cuter than it sounds because I am lumped in with the Bye Dog, Bye Cat, Bye Kitten, and Bye Bird.

7:00 a.m.

I am finally up and at ’em. Went to walk the dog only to discovered that she has already messed on the floor because I was 15 minutes late. All summer, we have been walking around 7:30 – 8:00 and now that school has started back up….~grr~…It’s like she knows. How does she know???

7:15 a.m.

Floor is clean and dog has been chastised. And by chastisted, I mean telling her that she is a “bad dog” while nuzzling and snuggling. Yeah, I cracked that whip! Into the shower I go. Hygiene be important.

8:00 a.m.

Coupons are printed and clipped. Time to start organizing.

9:00 a.m.

Coupons are as organized as they are going to get today.

Visiting MoneySavingMom to find today’s Farm Fresh match-up.

Shout-out to @MoneySavingMom for her referrals to match-ups to local grocery stores around the… Click To Tweet

Instead of reading through the list of deals, I actually do a Control-F and search the coupons that I have to see if their or any corresponding coupons.

It was so much faster.

9:45 a.m.

Comb the hair and secure the house and out the door I go!

Yay!

10:00 a.m.

Now is the time for the actual shopping.

First I shop all of the apps by aisle in the store, picking up the good in-store deals as I go.

Then I shop via coupons.

If I pass on a deal, I leave the coupon with the product so that if someone else uses it, I still get my Swagbuck coupon credit.

This time I remember that Farm Fresh also has an app so I double check and find a few products that I already had in my car for even further discounts.

Expect a full breakdown of my savings in tomorrow’s post.

11:45 a.m.

Back home to scan in the products on Ibotta and Checkout 51.

Thank goodness SavingStar is automatic with my Upromise Card.

12:27 p.m.

Taking a break. My feet are so tired.

1:15 p.m.

Watched a 55 minute video on making money with Youtube and remembered that one of my goals for this month was to start a complimentary Youtube channel for this blog.

Looked all over for my Logitech webcam and blamed the kids for not being able to find.

~stanky kids!~

Finally, just decided to use my iPad to record the video and that I needed to hurry before my daughter got home.

My goal was to have it up but the middle of the month which would have been yesterday but, ur, uhm, yeah…

Started looking in the Apple app store for a video editor by got struck by analysis paralysis as there are so many different choices even among the free ones. Any suggestions?

2:00 p.m.

Daughter will be home soon and I am nervous enough without her criticism, er, critiques.

If I waited for money to get my hair done, took the time to make the house spotless, and bought a new outfit, I would never get this video made.

Life has yet to line up since I made the decision in January so I just went for it.

I’ll probably be cringing when I go back and look at the video years from now.

Heck, who am I kidding, I’m cringing now.

Give this severe introvert some credit and subscribe to my channel inspite of my crappy video.

I will love you always!

(And I promise never to sing it Whitley Houston style. Dolly Parton style, though, is still up for grabs.)

4:11 p.m.

Just realized that WordPress puts a word count at the bottom of the posts.

Updates every time I hit enter.

Who knew?

Not me.

4:13 p.m.

Better get started on my FB groups.

The fun of today just keeps coming…

Don’t be jelly, y’all…

4:14 p.m.

Just got a signup for Ibotta.

Thank you Gray T., whoever you are!!

If he (or she) logs in from a mobile device within the next 14 days, I get $2!

Woo Hoo!!!!

4:15 p.m.

Back to FB groups with a new spring in my step…fingers?…keyboard?

Whatever…

8:10 p.m.

Finally finished FB groups.

Time to Swagbuck, Superpoints, Paidviewpoint, and Bing.

9:33 p.m.

All done and off to bed.

See you in the a.m. lovely readers.
