Apparently, it is no longer a rumor.

Verizon and Apple have officially struck a deal.

Starting October 28, 2010, Verizon will start carrying the iPad in their stores.

And its not some lame, stripped down version either.

It is easily comparable to the one that can be purchased from AT&T.

16GB Wi-Fi iPad bundled with the MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot is priced at $629.99.

A 32GB Wi-Fi iPad with MiFi is $729.99

And the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad with MiFi is $829.99.

Verizon’s MiFi no contract data plan will offer 1GB of data for $20 per month.

Verizon will also sell three Wi-Fi only versions of the iPad.

Personally, I’m thrilled!

Not about Verizon.

Not a fan of Verizon or AT&T.

But, the plain truth is, that this crack will soon develop into a full-fledged break on the monopoly that AT&T has on Apple.

And soon, every company will be able to offer Apple products.

Boost, anyone?
