I am so proud of me, if I do say so myself.
It was a tough decision whether or not to pay off my $21.99 library fine so that I could check out books.
I thought it would be kinda selfish to spare that much money on myself when we are currently working with a very limited and stretched beyond belief budget.
But, I love to read.
In fact, my three greatest hobbies are the internet (of course), television, and reading.
And that’s in no particular order.
What I didn’t expect, however, was that I have passed the love of reading thoroughly on to my daughter.
The boys, when they discovered that I could check things out again, immediately headed to the dvd section.
Ah, but my baby girl…she came back with a stack of books taller than herself!
True, they are all about animals.
And, at first, she was mostly just looking at the pictures of the cute lil’ doggies.
But, just now, holding out her lil’ book, she turned to me and says, “Mom, did you know that…”
And that’s the mark of a true reader.
Wanting to share the book that is giving her so much joy…and knowledge.
