My blog’s back-end

It’s Tuesday aka Hump Day Eve!

The first thing that I did this morning was listen to a Problogger podcast that caught my eye, How to Make $30,000 a year Blogging.

Coincidentally, just yesterday, I was mentally doing the math on how much I need to earn per day to make a monthly payout on Amazon, Adsense, and Projectwonderful.

My calculation for Amazon and Adsense was that I needed to make at least $3.50/day each to meet the $100 payout. ProjectWonderful’s payout is only $10 so I would only need $0.35/day.

A couple hundred dollars a month is not much but it is a great beginner goal and should be achievable by the end of the year, right? Right?!? ~gulp~

So, I decided to make today a Problogger day and listen to his podcasts while I work.

Today is Tuesday so I it the day that I have scheduled to actually work on this blog.

9:00 a.m.

Started a post for a natural flea cure.

1:45 p.m.

Finished the post with the exception of images because canva was not acting right.

I’ll give the webmasters a few hours and then I’ll either use picmonkey or bannersnack.

Time to start Swagbucks, Bing, Superpoints, and Paidviewpoint.

3:30 p.m.

Finished all of including doing SB all the way up to the second goal.

Doing it in the afternoon is turning out to be very beneficial.

Time to get started on my FB groups.

7:18 p.m.

Does anyone else ever forget what thread they are working on and have to scroll back up to read the description.

Yeah, me neither…

Ok, back to work.

8:12 p.m.

Decided to work a little bit on the back-end of this site.

I didn’t like how the information on the blog was pulled on Facebook when I just used the homepage and not an individual post.

Plus, it randomly pulled images from random posts.

I think that I figured it out using the Yoast SEO plugin under the social tab.

8:39 p.m.

I also wanted to make all external links no follow so that I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore.

I used the plug-in No Follow All External Links.

8:54 p.m.

Did some digging to figure out how to make Adsense show up on my mobile theme by jetpack.

Found the plugin Mobile Theme Ads for Jetpack and that seems to be working eventhough there is a strange yellow box at the end of the ad.

But that is a problem for another day.

10:45 p.m.

Decided to test out if the links on my linky were clickable via mobile and I am glad that I did because they are not.

I suspect that it has something to do with the SumoMe buttons on the images but, once again, the blue login button did not show up so I have no way of making any corrections to solve the problem other than deactivating the plugin.

I sent them a support ticket.

Meanwhile, I am going to do some more of the commentathon before calling it a night at midnight tonight.

12:12 a.m.

Ok, I finished 15 comments which means that I only have 10 more to go and I’m done.

I’m gonna call it for tonight and I will see y’all in the morning.

P.S. Don’t forget to visit some of these wonderful people in this link-up who worked hard to write blog posts just for you!
