Just write, right?

Hurray for Saturday.

But the day of the week is not really what has me stoked.

What I’m happy about is torrential downpours, if you can believe it.

The expectation of a storm and its subsequent flooding encouraged Upward Bound to cancel today’s meeting so no walking for me today.

They really could have gone though because so far, we have seen nothing but a few drizzles.

8:00 a.m.

I have decided that since I spent an inordinate amount of time working on design this week, today will be dedicated to writing posts.

8:15 a.m.

I could have sworn that I put my Undead and Unappreciated book review post on draft last night since I never finished reading the book.

But, lo and behold, I got an email this morning that it actually posted.

I had to through up some quick Amazon links to hold them until such time as I finish reading the book.

9:00 a.m.

Finished writing this week’s linkup post.

I changed it from Sunday Shares to I Get You Traffic to both stand out and offer a unique value to my fellow bloggers.

11:50 a.m.

Created my very first Mailchimp campaign that will be sent out to those who posted an entry on one of my past link-ups inviting them to place a new post in my I Bring You Traffic linkup.

Words cannot express to you just how much I appreciate the ease of using Mailchimp vs Aweber.

Once you get the hang of it, it is as simple to use as WordPress itself.

Plus, you can send like a kazillion messages before you ever have to pay a dime.

12:20 p.m.

Ok, I lied…I did do some website design.

Most of it, though, just consisted of deleting plugins.

The first thing I did was delete my Pin-It plugin and, yep, I was correct, it was causing a conflict with my Pinterest board showing up in the sidebar.

The second plugin that I deleted was SumoMe.

I actually love this plugin but for some reason it was not acting right.

I couldn’t get to any of the “stuff” and I really wanted to delete the subscription pop-up because it was annoying me on mobile because the x was too hard to click.

But it was only a temporary uninstall to see if I could get it to restart.

When that didn’t work, I went to put in a support ticket and, weirdly enough, logging in caused the plugin to start working so Yay!!!

I set the box to only show after 1000 seconds, only 1 time a month, and not to show at all on small mobile devices.

I also used the plugin to add a Smart bar for subscriptions across the bottom of the screen.

Sumome is another plugin that I absolutely love.

Somehow, my center ProjectWonderful ad box was moved further down the sidebar.

I moved it to just below the recent posts box.

1:15 p.m.

Realized that I neglected to make a Contact Me page after looking at the Contact portion of the Sumome plugin.

Threw one up there right quick but I need a more professional one.

4:33 p.m.

Finished a post on the premiere of the fifth season of Scandal complete with a pin of the image and social sends added to my buffer.

Look at me go!!

5:25 p.m.

I know that I am probably late to the party but I just discovered how to filter emails in my gmail.

Now I have some kind of organization.

5:49 p.m.

Me soooo hungry.

Taking a food break now.

Possibly a nap.

9:55 p.m.

So, I didn’t end up taking that nap.

I did, however, end up reading and writing a book review that is all set up to come out on October 3.

I am just going to finish up Swagbucks, Bing, Superpoints, and Paidviewpoint and call it a night.
