Where’d the pretty red go?

Posted by MsKatrina on Wednesday Jan 14, 2015 Under Ramble

My pretty red custom theme is (hopefully) only temporarily gone.

After updating wordpress and atahualpa, everything below the header just disappeared.

So, I had to chose between having my pretty theme or having the posts and pages viewable.

Hopefully, this is only a temporary problem.

I miss my pretty red theme.

Not to mention the countless hours that I spent getting it to look just so…

But this chick in green is pretty sassy…

…wonder if the have her in red….or purple…

How can my dog not be bald?

Posted by MsKatrina on Tuesday Nov 18, 2014 Under Ramble

This is a random post, but have you ever swept the floor and picked up so much fur that you wonder why your pet is not bald?

Told you it was random. Lol.

But if I had took a picture of the pile of fur before I dumped it in the bin, you might have wondered too.

I really need to get better at taking photos for this blogging thing.

Or maybe I just didn’t want you too see the, uh, untidy, status of my house.

Meanwhile, her is a photo of HRH sleeping.

See, she still has plenty of fur to drop around my house at her leisure.

I love these kitty panties

Posted by MsKatrina on Thursday Jul 10, 2014 Under Ramble

10462583_823412744343030_9138754950914406729_nIt was love at first sight for me and these panties when I spotted them on Facebook.

I mean, come on, one of my favorite sayings when I accidentally flash someone is that I hope that they enjoy the show.

And who wouldn’t get a kick or at least a side eye out of these panties.
I searched for these cat panties on Amazon but, although I didn’t find them, I did find some…er…other interesting things.

But still, mama wants these panties if anyone knows where I can find them.

Is that chick still texting your man?

Posted by MsKatrina on Friday Jul 4, 2014 Under Ramble

10437337_781927531839395_1894007129364898848_nOk, so you are in love….

He is your one and only.

But are you his?

What if that chick is still texting or calling  your man?

Is she in love with him too?

Is she trying to play games?

Or is he the one playing games?

One in your pocket, one in the socket, and one in the palm of your hand.

That’s how players play.

What do you think if another woman is constantly calling or texting your man?

How do you feel about?

Or, better yet, what do you do about it?

Work At Home Income Report May 2014

Posted by MsKatrina on Sunday Jun 15, 2014 Under Ramble

Alrighty, its that time of the month again.

Time to evaluate how I did financially this month.

These reports are actually helping keep me on the straight and narrow as I am lazy as can be and it helps to see my income in writing.

Plus, y’all can razz me unmercifully if I don’t at least maintain a certain level.

In fact, June has already seen an improvement…but you’ll have to wait till July 15th for me to prove it.

mTurk: $19.70

Swagbucks: $75

Leapforce: $74.02

Media Insiders: $25

Viggle: $0.00

Paidviewpoint: $17.15

Total: $210.87

Not bad for a slacker like myself.

Yet, like I said, I have already done way better than that in June and the month is only half way over.

Paidviewpoint is actually my favorite survey company now that I have verified that they do pay.

The surveys are usually less than 5 minutes and none of that stupid “prequalification” crap that other survey companies seem to want to put you through…even some of the ones on mTurk.

Now, because I consider couponing work, I am also going to add how much I saved this month with the online coupon programs.

Ibotta $7.00

SavingStar: $6.27

Total: 13.27  (not including coupons).

Anyone else have easy ways to earn or save money?

June 2014 Goals

Posted by MsKatrina on Sunday Jun 1, 2014 Under Ramble

I have been inspired by a couple of blogs that I read this week to set up monthly goals for myself.

And not just financial goals either but personal goals as well.

But the scary part of it all is that I am going to post all of the goals here and we’ll see how well I did this time next month.

Ok, let’s get started.

Money in goals:

1 hour/day Mturk

1 hour/day Swagbucks/Bing/Viggle

2 hours/day Leapforce

This should make my monthly guaranteed income $900/month.

Then I will spend 4 hours/day blogging.

Hopefully my work on blogging will cap my month off with $1000 income or more.

My blogging goals for the month of June are posted over on Amablogger.com.

Money out goals:

* Pay property taxes

* Pay for drivers license renewal

* Purchase graduation gifts for my 2 sons

* Get car inspected

* Start shopping for back-to-school

* Save money for my birthday in July

Health goals:

* 100 crunches every morning

* Drink 4 bottles of water/day

* 1 spoonful of coconut oil every day

* Eat sprinkle of flax seed every time I open the refrigerator

* Clean the papers off the couch

* Purchase dresses/hair/nails for two son’s graduation.

Yeah, I’m tired looking at this list already. Lol.

Luckily, I already have some of those things in my routine.

What are your goals for this month?

True Blood and other HBO shows now streaming on Amazon

Posted by MsKatrina on Tuesday May 27, 2014 Under Ramble

I am super excited to announce that I just started watching True Blood for free with my Amazon Prime membership.

I have access to HBO Go but it is one of the glitches apps on my Roku Streaming Media Player.

My friend says that she isn’t having a problem with it but there are days were it can take me up to 20 minutes to get a show to play.

And, no, it is not my ROKU as I have no problems with Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, or Netflix.

Before you get to excited, though, right now it is only Seasons 1, 2, and 3 that are free with Prime.

In Season 4, they start asking for $2.99 an episode or $34.99 for standard definition and $46.99 for high definition of the entire season.

Personally, I will be watching on Prime until I hit the final episode of True Blood season 3 and then work my way over to HBO to finish it up before the new season begins on June 22nd.

Here’s the trailer for True Blood Season 7.

Once again, they are saying that this will be the final season.

You can keep up with the official True Blood news news on the HBO True Blood website.

Other shows that are available from HBO on Amazon are full seasons of The Sopranos, The Wire, Deadwood, Rome, Six Feet Under, Eastbound & Down, Enlightened, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, John Adams, Angels in America, and Flight of the Conchords and some seasons of Boardwalk Empire, and Treme.

April 2014 WAH Report

Posted by MsKatrina on Thursday May 15, 2014 Under Ramble

Since I am already doing posts on my blogging income on Amablogger.com, I have also decided to do a post on this blog on all of the ways I make extra money from home

If your only interest is in the blogging income, I suggest you check out the post on Amablogger as I go into more detail on there.

Let me first start by saying that I will only be posting information on wahj (work at home job) that have actually paid me.

If I can’t spend it, it does not count.

So let’s dig into my cash flow statement.

There are so many ways to make money from home (without doing porn, thank you) and I have dabbled a toe in most of all of them.

There are sources of income that can just be bonus money.

And there are also  sources of income that can a full-time job…from your pajamas.

But, let’s face it, I’m a slacker, so I do not optimize any of them the way that I could and should.

(Especially as I need a new car and I have two kids off to college in the Fall. ~sigh)

All of these are easy ways to make money.

No special skills are required, really.

All you really need is a computer, internet, and time.

Before I forget, many of these opportunities offer a referral program so I may earn residual income if you sign up under me.

That’s only fair being as I brought these ways to make money to your attention, right?

Anyway, end of disclaimer…

On to the nitty gritty…how did I make money in the month of April.

mTurk: $1.59

Swagbucks: $25 Amazon and $50 Paypal

Media Insiders: $25 Tango cards that I cashed out for Amazon

Viggle: $7.99 Hulu Subscription

I have decided to make pages to link to each of these income opportunities so stay tuned.

Like I said, my only expense was to pay for my monthly internet.

There were no pay to signup. No fees assessed in anyway.

How do you make money from home? Any tips to share? Any money making ideas?
